Vendor Bank Account
Verification

Before wiring money to a supplier, verify that their bank account belongs to the actual registered business. KeyBS Pay cross-checks account name, account number, SWIFT/BIC, IBAN, and crypto wallet against business registration records — protecting African importers from one of the most common forms of B2B payment fraud: wrong-account or intercepted payment fraud.

Account Name Match

Confirms the bank account holder name matches the registered company name — catches fake or redirected accounts.

SWIFT / IBAN Validation

Validates SWIFT BIC codes and IBAN formats against the claimed bank and country — catches typos and fraudulent bank details.

Crypto Wallet Screening

For USDT/crypto payments, screens wallet addresses against global fraud and sanctions databases before you send.

Verify a Supplier Now

Why bank account verification matters

Most B2B payment fraud does not involve a fake company — it involves a real company’s invoice with the bank details changed. Business email compromise, intercepted PDFs and lookalike domains all end the same way: funds wired to an account that has nothing to do with the supplier. Once an international transfer settles into the wrong account, recovery is slow, expensive and frequently impossible.

The defence is procedural, not technical: before first payment — and after any change of bank details — confirm that the receiving account is held in the registered name of the business you contracted with. That single check defeats the overwhelming majority of redirection fraud, because the fraudster controls the invoice but not the supplier’s bank account.

How verification works

1. Submit the details

Provide the account name, number, bank and SWIFT/IBAN exactly as they appear on the invoice — plus the supplier’s registered business name.

2. Registry cross-check

We match the claimed account holder against the official business registry record, flagging name mismatches, personal accounts and recently changed details.

3. Format & routing validation

SWIFT BICs and IBANs are validated against the claimed bank and country, catching both typos and fabricated banking coordinates.

4. Verdict report

You receive a clear match / mismatch / caution verdict you can attach to your payment approval, with the evidence documented.

Common questions

When should I re-verify a supplier’s account?

Any time the bank details change — a "new account" email is the classic redirection-fraud opening — and periodically for high-value standing relationships.

Does this replace full supplier verification?

No — it complements it. Account verification confirms where the money goes; supplier verification confirms who you are dealing with. For a first transaction, run both. See the full country guides under supplier verification.

Can crypto wallet payments be verified the same way?

Wallets have no registry names, so the check differs: addresses are screened against fraud and sanctions databases, and the wallet’s history is reviewed for known-scam associations before you pay.

What happens if the check comes back as a mismatch?

Stop the payment and contact the supplier through a known, previously used channel — never through contact details on the suspect invoice. A genuine supplier will confirm their real coordinates quickly.
